Metabolic Health for Moms - Gestational diabetes, Insulin resistance, Boost Energy, Weight loss, Blood sugar

*TOP 2.5% GLOBALLY RANKED PODCAST*

Feeling exhausted no matter how much you sleep? Dealing with stubborn weight that won’t budge, blood sugar that feels unpredictable, high fasting glucose, or energy crashes that hit hard, especially after having gestational diabetes?

Do you feel like your body is working against you, and no matter how “healthy” you try to be, you’re still struggling with cravings, inflammation, weight loss resistance, and wondering why no one warned you that gestational diabetes could impact your health years later?

I’m Sara Moreira, nurse, functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner, and mom of 4. After walking through my own journey with gestational diabetes, postpartum depletion, blood sugar struggles, flatlined cortisol, and gut imbalances, I know what it’s like to feel dismissed, misdiagnosed, and told “everything looks normal” when you feel anything but.

For years I was stuck in the cycle of clean eating, supplement guessing, and chasing symptom after symptom until I discovered how powerful it is to work with the body, not against it.

Now I blend functional lab testing with ancestral rhythms, mineral balancing, and a faith-rooted approach to help moms rebuild their metabolism, regulate blood sugar, and restore their health after gestational diabetes.

Inside the Metabolic Health for Moms Podcast, we go beyond quick fixes and diets to uncover the root causes of insulin resistance, high fasting glucose, and prediabetes after having GDM.

You’ll learn how to reset your circadian rhythm, balance your master hormones like insulin and cortisol, and nourish your body back to safety with simple, science-backed strategies rooted in both functional nutrition and God-designed healing.

Each episode will help you understand your body on a deeper level so you can lower your risk of future diabetes, improve your metabolic health, and get real results that last without burning out or giving up the things that matter most.

Because true healing isn’t just about numbers on a lab report, it’s about restoring the health and vitality you were created for.

Let’s redefine what it means to recover after gestational diabetes and walk in the healing and wholeness you were always meant for.

Let’s find out what your body’s been trying to tell you and help you feel like yourself again.

You’re doing all the right things, eating clean, working out, trying to sleep, but the scale isn’t moving and your energy is flat.
You go to the doctor, and they say:“Everything looks normal.”But you know it’s not.
In today’s episode, I’m walking you through three functional labs I use with clients to finally get answers when weight won’t budge, fatigue is constant, and you feel dismissed by conventional care.
Here’s what we cover:
Why normal labs don’t always reflect how you feel
How your minerals (HTMA), gut health (GI-MAP), and mitochondria (OAT) are often the missing puzzle pieces
What these labs tell us about stress, hormone imbalances, inflammation, and gut dysfunction before it shows up on standard labs
Real examples of what I see in exhausted, burned-out moms and how we support healing
If you’re tired of dead ends and want a deeper root cause approach to your fatigue and weight loss resistance after babies, this one’s for you.
